Books: Magnolia Table Vol. One and Vol. Two
Author: Joanna Gaines
Genre: Cookbook
I am so excited that these two Magnolia Table cookbooks have found their way into my life! Thanks to my wonderful Mother-In-Law, these two beauties pictured above are now a part of my cookbook collection! As an avid watcher of “Fixer-Upper” and a huge Joanna Gaines fan, I was thrilled to see these two volumes with my name on them for Mother’s Day!
Previously, I had checked these titles out from the library so I already knew that I was going to enjoy them! After perusing through them the other day, I’ve picked out a few of the recipes that I am the most excited for!
1. JoJo’s Biscuits
This is a classic recipe that is served at The Magnolia Table restaurant, so you know I have to try this one! This southern classic is first up on my list of things to cook!
2. Sausage and Kale Soup
This is a family favorite when it comes to soups and stews. I love the texture that Kale provides and the colors from the Kale and the Carrots promise to be Instagram worthy!
3. Homemade Gnocchi
I’ve already used this recipe from Joanna’s second Magnolia Table Cookbook and it is phenomenal. It is easy to make and was fun to do with the kiddos. It was time consuming, so maybe a weekend venture but it can be frozen and saved for quick weekday meals as well. Yum!
4. Strawberry Shortcake
I know this will be a favorite in our household! With a several strawberry fans, we plan on using this recipe a lot.
5. Sunday Pot Roast
The purpose of these cookbooks is to promote good eating and family gatherings. When I think of Sunday Pot Roast, it reminds me of days spent lounging around the family room together laughing and playing while dinner simmers for a few hours. This recipe will give us that opportunity to slow down and enjoy the moments that will become the memories we cherish forever.
I still can’t believe I’ve been lucky enough to get both of these cookbooks! What a joy it’s going to be to share them with friends and family! Don’t mind me, I’ll just be over here… cooking up a storm!
Happy Reading and Cooking!
