Blogger’s Note: Thank you to the publishers for free copies of the books in exchange for an honest review.

This past week has been a great one in terms of reading. I finished up a couple of novels, and received some new ones as well. I have started the beginning of “Midnight Sun” but I’m not loving it so far. I am only a couple of chapters in, so I am going to keep trudging on and hopefully it gets better. Meanwhile, this week I received some new books in the mail that I wanted to share!

“The Perfect Escape” by Suzanne Park is a YA Romantic Comedy about a teenage girl and guy that team up to participate in a zombie survival contest. They both need to win the cash prize for different reasons and the stakes are high! It’s fun, quirky and I love that both of the main characters are nerdy and adorable!

The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle” by Stuart Turton is a thriller/mystery book. Agatha Christie would be proud of this novel, which has readers guessing until the very end who is the murderer. The book features many different points of view and promises to be an exciting read.

The third book that came in the mail this week was “From Blood and Ash” by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I can’t wait to read this one! This novel falls into my typical fantasy genre preference. However, reviews so far suggest that this novel should be considered for more mature audiences as it aligns better with New Adult rather than traditional YA. This book features a strong female protagonist and that has me lining up to read it! I am probably going to pick up the audiobook of this novel as well since it clocks in around 600 pages.

All in all, my mailbox (and TBR List) have been overflowing! It is definitely time pick up  a book and get started!

Happy Reading!
