Happy Halloween Y’all!
Halloween is finally here and it seems that thrillers and horror novels have taken center stage this month. Before we celebrate and I get all hyped up on candy, I wanted to share a quick list of my favorite spooky reads that are sure to keep readers awake and furiously turning pages well into the night!
“Magic Lessons” by Alice Hoffman
This is the prequel to the book and movie “Practical Magic.” Think witches, spell casting and plenty of spooky fun.
“Mexican Gothic” by Silvia Moreno Garcia
This slow burn style gothic novel is set in 1950’s Mexico and follows a young woman’s journey to an old estate with an eerie family that has a devilishly dark past.
“Home Before Dark” by Riley Sager
A classic haunted house tale filled with plenty of things that go bump in the night.
“The Hollow Ones” by Guillermo Del Toro
This novel is a mix of dark fantasy, true crime and horror. With multiple timelines, the book follows a series of crimes in the eyes of FBI agents who are trying desperately to solve the case and save the people around them.
“Don’t Look For Me” By Wendy Walker
This fast paced thriller is sure to get your blood pumping. A woman gets caught stranded in the middle of a storm without gas in her car but is rescued by a man. However, when she gets into the car with her good samaritan she fears she’s made a huge mistake.
Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe Halloween!
Happy Reading!
