Question of the Day:
What is a genre that you do not usually read?
Answer of the Day:
Horror
Some people swear by thrillers and horror novels. They pull out a new horror novel and relish in the goosebumps and jumps that are sure to follow. I don’t know much about this particular genre, but I know it scares the crap out of me and I do not opt to read these types of books often.
However, recently I have been picking up different genres and have found myself reaching for the occasional horror book. A few weeks ago, I finished “Mexican Gothic” and loved it. It did have me looking over my shoulder late at night though and feeling some elevated stress levels!
I received “Home Before Dark” by Riley Sager a month or two ago and it is currently sitting on my “TO BE READ” shelf. So many people have recommended this book to me! Reviewers rave about Sager’s writing and say that the plot is intense and engaging. With that being said, I keep looking at this book and I am hesitant to pull it off the shelf and get started.
